I promised to add this information for those interested in skiing Junior Olympic events. The website that explains how to sign up for races is http://www.cxcskiing.org/
The Junior Olympics is divided into divisions: J4, J3, J2, J1, OJ which are age groups
For Middle school skiers they would be in J3 (1999/2000)
Freshman and sophomores are J2s (1997/1998)
Junior and Seniors J1 (1995/1996)
Seniors & College JO (1993/1994)
You need to have a CXC license in order to get points for JNQ. Some JNQ races also have High School races that don't require a CXC license. The races have a cost, HS races are less expensive than JNQ races.
